Don't listen to Claude. This is a fine sounding high resolution analog to DSD recording. Natural, spacious tones, good imaging. Most of all, no CD 'digititis' due to brick-wall filtering. Just a fine all around, enjoyable presentation.
DSD-wide recording here. I suppose this still counts as 'pure' DSD. Telarc seems to think so. The sound here has the typical DSD-wide 'veil'. This is a SUPERB disc. I dare say a Reference Level performance and Reference Recording for all other Reference Recordings. This is for me THE example SACD that fulfills the promise of the medium. As good as DSD64 gets.

Of my 1000 plus SACD's, this one is top 10 and is there to stay! Delightful music, and I will echo that this is extremely well recorded. A fine example of the pinnacle of analog recording. Which may have been the pinnacle of recorded sound, period... analog recording, that is.
