Although this SACD has made this Album sound better than ever, sadly it just isn't up to the standard of the rest of CCR's SACD Catalogue. Some noticeable tape noise and seems to have been recorded at really low db's. Some will find this endearing and may describe it as having a nice analog feeling. ... more

Analogueís June 7th review is spot on, and I canít add much to it except for this: This Japanese SACD release of Quadrophina has never sounded better and is sure to sound great on any stereo system. Did an A/B comparison to the 1988 MCA CD recording. I always thought the CD did pretty good justice to the source material, but this Analoge Production SACD really does take it to the next level.
