Though the music might seem superficial at first, this recording really grows on you. The more you listen to it, the more you'll get into the music, the unbelievable groove, the talent of the performers. Worth every cent of it. Sound is first-rate, detailed yet sweet, punchy. I can't say the performing is first rate (listen to Alessandrini's recording of the Lamento della Nympha), but it's okay. Sound is not bad, ranging from 5 stars on pure instrumentals to three and a half on vocals. Overall, a nice package.
