This is one of the highlights of audiophile jazz releases in 2010. A varied selection of big band classics from the likes of Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, Woody Herman, Kurt Weill and lesser knowns. Yes this is definitely an odd ball disc with only a multichannel DSD layer. Its a 5.1/6 channel speaker config. In the normal case the stereo is Area[0] on the disc and Multichannel in Area[1]. Its either an SACD mastering error or it was too tight room wise to hold both programmes. The back of the disc is definitely talking about Stereo SACD. Was ... more
