| What a pleasant surprise. Beautiful music, beautifully played and recorded. I listen in two channel. Interesting since the instrument placement is somewhat close horizontally but also has more depth than I am used to in a large chamber work especially on the Op. 71. | This disc was a major disappointment in two channel SACD. Bright and thin. Sounds like DGG used to sound but with some deep bass thrown in. Lacks the sweetness that SACD is known for. Not a pure DSD recording? Has the digital irritation that early CDs were infamous for. Stick with the Reiner on vinyl or SACD. ... more | |

I initially used the player for RBCD but they basically still sounded edgy although better than any other RBCD player I had used. SACDs were a revelation.
