After several listens in both 2 channel and surround, it is the best I've heard. This disc along with Honky Chateau from Elton and Blues In Orbit from the Duke are what I pull out to demo my system to visitors. Excellent...prefer it to vinyl. Clarity is outstanding, one of my favorite non-mainstream discs. Something about this has me coming back again and again. Worth the hard earned. :D

I bought this disc primarily for the WAF (wife approval factor). My wife has enjoyed the "improved" 2-channel SACD layer for what it is, a collection of soft rock tunes. Karen Carpenter's voice still sounds great, even if the material is dated. During our listening sessions I have pretty much kept ... more

The clarity of both the stereo and surround mixes are excellent. If only this were the quality of output on all rock/pop SACDs. I am only a marginal EJ fan, but the quality of this recording enticed me to purchased all of his SACD catalog. VERY highly recomended.

IMHO, SACD won't be really be accepted in the consumer mainstream until it spends the time and resources to remaster/update a mix of at least 40%-50% classic rock titles for a few years.
