| I actually have one of these that I bought about 12 years ago. The big problem that this Japanese company has had is that they are unable to get a North American branch that is capable of re-aligning and servicing these. | I must admit, I paid about $300 with shipping for the RCA Japan Soria Series SACD of Karajan/Price/Merrill "Carmen" produced by John Culshaw under RCA's European classical music agreement with Decca that existed in the late 50's early 60's. | Boy, I have a Sony SCD-1 (that I bought in 1999) and I've never had to mess with the laser or any other mechanical parts at all! Still works perfectly. Unfortunately, it still takes about 45 seconds to load an SACD and it still plays only 2 channel SACD's..... ... more | |
