| Does anyone have a suggestion for places in NYC that are good for SACD shopping? Like most of you I do most of my shopping online, but I recently ambled around the Barnes and Noble by Lincoln Center and not only got some great deals (Vanska Beethoven set for $35 after sale and member discount), but had a lot of fun doing so. | Wow, people on this board can be really unfriendly. I'd suggest checking out the wikipedia entries for XRCD and HDCD, same as they do though. I don't own any XRCDs so I can't make a valid comparison, but I just purchased the HDCD of Van Halen I, so hopefully I'll know more about that soon. ... more | |

| I think he's right actually. Several thousand users from around the world is nice but niche. That said, I do agree it's been said before, but I do think promotion is a big factor as well. The guy in the office next to mine is possibly a bigger classical fan than I am; he certainly buys more CDs. And yet he'd barely heard of SACD. At the same ... more | |
