Mahler: Symphony No. 2 - Nott      (6 of 8 found this review helpful)
  December 29, 2012

I just bought this the other day after resisting for a while. I have 1,3,4,5,7 and 9 in Nott's series, and I think it is a truly wonderful achievement overall. Haydn: The Creation - Spering      (3 of 3 found this review helpful)

This is simply wonderful. Far superior to any other version I have heard, especially the recent - and disappointing - Jacobs recording. Playing is on a very high level, with just the right amount of 'rawness' to the sound. Soloists are fabulous, the choir is equally so. Conductor understands how ... more
