Gavin Dixon is a writer and composer based in Hertfordshire, UK. He studied music at Cardiff University and later at Goldsmiths College, University of London, where he completed a PhD on the symphonies of Alfred Schnittke. He has written on a wide range of music-related subjects and has contributed work on 20th century music to a number of Russian and German publications. Gavin is also a specialist in the history of musical instruments and currently holds the position of Deputy Keeper of Musical Instruments at the Horniman Museum in London. | |

| Is anybody else having trouble accessing the SACD stereo layer on these discs? My player, a Marantz SA8003, struggles with all of them. With the first disc in particular, you have to open and close the tray continuously for about ten mins before it recognises the SACD layer.
