Combining Anna Netrebko and Abbado, you may expect a magic or a fire bon-bon, expecially when Anna is singing "Sempre Libera". Indeed I read too many reviews acclaiming exactly this. Man, this is very strange. I got my copy, today. When playing CD layer on a computer, it is ok. But when I put it in my sacd player, it is a rock&roll title. I could not believe what I hear, so, I switched to CD layer, it is fine. I guess everything has a first time, it is the first time I had such sacd disk with sacd layer completely messed ... more

Are following Philips opera titles recorded between 1969 - 1980 quadraphonic recordings? 1) Berlioz's "Les Troyens" / Davis (1969) 2) Puccini's "La Boheme" / Davis (1979) 3) Massenet's "Werther" / Davis (1980) 4) Tchaikovsky's "Pique Dame" / Ermler (1974) I just happen to own these titles (ADD).
