| In this case you are forever stuck with Onkyo's pre-amp and amp-stages which pretty much decimate the advantage of missing dsd-pcm -conversion. I believe this talk about this DA-chip and that DA-chip with kilohertzes and bits popping up everywhere is a text-book example of missing the point of what matters in audio-chain completely. | I must confess that I have never used program in any player of mine. It´s just too complicated for me. Most important thing for me is the the fast response time after button press.
