A very unusual tracklisting for a harpsichord disc!!! It turns out to be breathtakingly good. Although seemingly none of the pieces were written with the harpsichord in mind, they sound just right. It is not every day that you get a chance to listen to a 230 year old instrument! This disc is very, very interesting. I love the sound of the Vis-à-vis, a wonderful combination of harpsichord and piano. Different, but very listenable indeed and very much worthy of purchase...

Wow! This disc is remarkable. The sound that Paul Van Zelm gets from the natural horn is gorgeous. I've heard these works numerous times before - I think that the final Allegro from K447 was the theme music to a British television programme back in the late 50s - but I've never heard them sound ... more

Right from the first note it was apparant that this is something special. The French harpsichord - it is from the Von Nagel Workshop in Paris 1985, after N. & F.
