| Just for comparison: SCD-XA1200ES is 15.8lbs (7.2kg) SCD-XA3000ES is 18.1lbs (8.2kg) Both of those have MCH analogue outputs with associated DACs etc. ... more | |

| Hi Kristian, I too was suprised by this. The new ES level Blu-Ray player (BDP-S5000ES), announced at the same time as the SCD-XA5400ES and STR-DA5400ES, does not play SACDs. I was hoping they would release an ES range universal player. ... more | |

| Hi Seventh Taylor, I think I may have misunderstood what FunkyMonkey meant by "DSD Direct". I thought he just wanted the DSD signal to be converted directly to analogue and not via PCM. I assume the SCD-XA1200ES would do this within the player. HDMI/i.Link equipped players could pass the DSD signal to an appropriate receiver to be converted to ... more | |
