The quality of both the singing and the recording is very high. I highly recommend this recording for both reasons. The only concern would be whether you like the repertoire. I have about 4000 CDs, and 4 cracked CDs over time, all from boxed sets with poor holders. The worst were ones with rubber holders. So far, no cracked SACDs out of about 400, but I believe the issue is holders/boxes, not the discs, in my experience John ... more

The European models (also sold in Hong Kong) seem almost identical except the labels are VSX-LX50,60,70. The LX60,70 manual can be found on the Pioneer website and seems to suggest some difference between SACD multichannel processing for the 60 and 70 (SACD Direct vs Straight decoding) John ... more
