This album should be a must-have for all fans of the Kronos Quartet. This is their only album on SACD, and the medium (especially in surround sound) adds a particularly exciting feel to their music. In this incarnation the quartet consists of David Harrington (violin), John Sherba (violin), Hank ... more

This is a great SACD: superb playing, fine recording quality, and a wonderful selection of music. About the music: it is all 20th-century American compositions, from four composers with close ties to the BSO. Windsurfer comments that "one has to develop an ear for this sort of thing", but don't be ... more

This is an album of songs mostly by Stevie Wonder, sung by Jen Chapin, with Stephan Crump on bass (plucked and bowed) and Chris Cheek on saxophones. The album is a jazz classic, and this is probably the best-sounding ... more

The title is an allusion to Miles Davis’ Sketches of Spain. The album is thus conceived as a tribute ... more

Well, now I bought the SACD and had difficulty removing the seal. You know, the plastic piece of sticky tape along one edge of the disk pack. I finally got it off, but now there is a sticky residue. I tried Goo-Gone once with another disk pack and totally ruined it. This is my second disk from Analogue Productions with this problem. I am annoyed. ... more
