this recording has won the first prize at the world's most influential classical music prize-giving (gramophone award): Editor’s Choice Award Mahler Symphony No 2 - Budapest Festival Orchestra Ivan Fischer (Channel Classics) enjoy. it is really a fantastic recording.

as far as i remember the new sacd titles for 2008 and 2009 on the sa-cd.net are approximately the same: 2008....600 2009....598 (so far) i counted the new titles at the end of each year since 2007. i took each title on this homepage into account independently of the the remark not yet released. ... more
