I think this is the Police's best album. Certainly it features one of the greatest album sides of all time. As a big Simple Minds fan, I must admit that I got this purely out of completeness. There's not much to recommend it except that it is the only way to get certain mixes and ANY tracks before New Gold Dream on SACD. Mind you, I think the albums coming before New Gold Dream weren't terribly well ... more

This is Depeche Mode's best album since Violator. My only criticism is that some tracks sound incredibly similar to those on Violator! I agree there are 2 'duds' but enough single material on this album to already generate 3 x 3-part UK singles!) (2 Part CD Single and DVD singles). Incredibly catchy ... more

I simply had to add my two cents worth: I had never heard of this album but enjoy several others by Beck (hence my Moniker). This was one of my favourite albums of the 80's and I think it has held up well over time. I have the original Virgin CD pressing with the purple label and the sound quality was good.
