| I had a similar problem with Tommy by The Who in both DVD-A and SACD formats. I bought the DVD version because I thought my SACD became defective after a year or two of use but it had breakup and skipping problems at the same points. | I've always considered it as necessary when playing rock/pop music. There are very few discs where I like every track on an album. I even liked the memory feature that remembered you favorite tracks, just pop in the disk hit favorites and it played them. | Depends on the disc you listen too. The two Billy Joel MCH discs have the voice coming from the center channel only. When my CC was in for repair I missed it on a few disc but not most. The Billy Joel discs being more the exception than the rule. The CC is nice to have but not a requirement in general. ... more | |
