Huge fan of SACD stereo. (I can't afford all those damn speakers yet!)

Currently using Alesis Mk2 Powered studio monitors, Alesis Multimix 6 Mixer, Samsung DVD-HD841 Universal Player, and decent Monster Standard THX cables. SACD Stereo sounds absolutely astonishing in this setup. I spent about $700 on this stereo, and I've been told by audiophiles that it sounds like I spent thousands. Maybe its strange to some, but a beginner's studio setup is a very cheap way to achieve some of the best sound out there at a much cheaper price than the home stereo equipment route. Explore the active speaker market! You'll be amazed. I will eventually get the 5.1 setup.

This is such an exciting SACD release. I'm hoping we see more love from the music industry with such painstakingly engineered albums and/or remasters that really showcase DSD. I've yet to experience the Multi-Channel layer of disc 1, but I can tell you that both discs have excellent sounding 2 ... more
