Just heard it. Enthralling performance. I own recordings by Sinopoli and Ozawa, and felt that this ranks among the best. I was disappointed too by the sound. Did not sound too SACD to me. The Sinopoli version on DG was as good sounding on CD. Another fact not mentioned in reviews/product details except on this site,is that the surround is 5.0 not 5.1, which in my mind takes out quite a bit of oomph from the recording. ... more

Yes, they are. Mine are the JBL E80s/E35 front/center and the compatible JBL surround speakers(also full range) and I have set all my speakers to large. My subwoofer is the HSU VTF-3. John: Much impressed by your detailed review. BTW, is this 5.1 SACD? I read a review of the Fischer Joseph's Legende and enthusiastically imported it, only to find it to be a 5.0, a fact not mentioned anywhere in the review nor on the product web-page.
