Performance:  Sonics:
Well the contents of this disc are probably a bit sugary for serious listemers tastes and the performances are more than adequate for pure entertainment and relaxation. The recording quality in stereo is of good DSD pedigree with the piano slightly recessed and never detracts from the semi vituoso violinist. My only quibble is the opening Melodie (Tchaikovsky)which starts the disc and seems seems to lack the charm I remember it has.Strange for a youngish Russian ..Interesting for those who arent after ultimate violin performances of these works.I would like to hear him in something from the standard repetoire before making a firm judgement.A nice varied programme finishing with a beautiful Ysaye Reve d enfant.
