Performance:   Sonics:
Keb Mo's debut album. Acoustic blues numbers including two standout songs by Robert Johnson. A great collection by Keb Mo'.

The sound stage is not the widest going. It is constricted to between the speakers, but it does show good depth. The recording is warm and detailed and very nicely balanced. There is good air and detail with good localisation of instruments / voice in the sound stage. Keb's voice is warm and very rich. His guitar very natural sounding.

I bought this disc because I've really been enjoying another one of his album. I like this self-titled works just fine, but it doesn't hold a candle to "The Door", either in sound quality or performance. The songs on this one are all too much alike in composition and lyrical content. Song two, "Tell Everybody I Know" is excellent and could appeal to just about anyone. The soundstage is ok and the clarity is there but this is not demo material like the other Keb' Mo' album I own. Even so, I'm glad I own it and would buy again.
