Great remaster of this and all of their 7 classic albums from the 60's into the early 70's. Every one is a winner!

| A great addition to any Moodies library (review from amazon.com) |
|
| This album was the first one I had heard by the Moody Blues way back in 1974 and as such has always held a warm place in my heart. It was wonderful to hear all the old tracks again and "The Dreamer" is a great find (I just wish they had finished it!) Some reviews mention the listing of "After You Came" as a bonus track that was not on the release; my copy, however, did not include this error so it must have been corrected. I wish instead of the omit they had added the selection to the bonus tracks! Don't you?

| The Moody Blues were very much a part of my teenage years via all of that great AM radio. I thoroughly enjoyed every single I heard. But did I buy any of their releases? Nah. A few of my friends had them, but I couldn't understand what they heard in them. Single releases fine, but the LP's? Didn't get it. Also, they kinda dressed funny too. But then the summer of '71 came along and a friend had just bought "Every Good.....etc". Unbelievable!!!! Now I get it! And it's due to this album that I now know understand all that I had missed before. To this listener's ear, this is their PEAK! A stunning album from beginning to end. For anyone who is not familiar with the Moody Blues, except possibly the releases, I recommend this title in their catalog as a starting point. I should also commend this CD company for the fantastic job they've done on reissuing the Moody's first seven albums. They are all essentials for every collection! But if your new to it all, start here first.

| The Moodies in Surround (review from amazon.com) |
|
I think a lot has been written about the compressed sound of these SACD Surround Mixes, and for the most part, they are correct. But... I'm one person that is glad that I own this SACD. Even with the flaws mentioned from above, I'm glad that at least someone took the time to release these fine gems to the public. Could they have done a better job on the remastering? You bet. But it could've been worse.
If you enjoyed EGBDF when it was originally released, and you have the SACD equipment to enjoy the surround sound version of this fine album, by all means go out and get it. I would recommend any and all of these Moody Blues SACD releases. Ah, the memories come flooding back. And this time in wonderous surround sound.
