Reviews:

The little russian is good but not great (review from amazon.com)
The recording on BIS is good and the performances remind me a bit of their Sibelius work. I am not a big fan of Tchaikovsky's second symphony to begin with, and while this is a good audio recording, I find the performance to be lack luster. I rarely listen to this disc. The filler overtures are interesting, but not something I find interesting enough to go back to listen to.

marvellous! (review from amazon.com)
This is surely the best orchestral interpretation of one of Tchaikovsky's endearing symphonies. An average classical listener--even the so-called
classical connoisseurs--can appreciate this one from Maestro Jarvi.
Highly recommended!

Competent, but... (review from amazon.com)
This is what I believe to be the second release of Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 2 on Super Audio CD. While competent, it still suffers from several issues.

The soundstage presented in the recording seems too far back from the orchestra, and, as a result, the strings sound mushy in all but the quietest section. It's lush, yes, but in my opinion, too much so.

I find Järvi's interpretation a bit peculiar, with some parts that are rushed past and others comparatively dragged through. In my opinion, the best interpretation of "Little Russian" belongs to Svetlanov's 1967 recording with the USSR State Orchestra, although the recording [or at least the mastering during its short stint on the Moscow Studio label] is on about the same level as this. If you can find it, I'd track down the re-release of Svetlanov's recording on the Pipeline Music label- even iTunes has it, and the interpretation and mix is superior to this by far.
