Indeed! If you like Dead Can Dance surely you'll like this one. Like others I have the same opinion about the voice of this man: not bad, but I think his music is much much better. I really like the musical concept of this album. Some songs are really exceptional and the girl voice (Peter's doughter) in one of the tracks fits perfect. 4 stars for the music, 3 for the voice.
About sonics. I don't find significant diferences between the cd layer and the stereo sacd version, both sound great and crystal clear, stereo sacd sounds more natural to me. My only complain in this sacd is the multichannel version: no discrete mix at all!! It's a pity! It seems like they put the same front right and left sound on the back. The sound is expanded and sounds more open, you are immerse in the music but this music is intended to be discrete!!
If you really like Dead Can Dance and are a sacd fan, this is a must have. As far as I know there are only 2 multichannel sacd's of this genere: this one and Liod by Helium Vola... one I really really recommend (The Box Set of Dead Can Dance is on my top of sacd's but they are only stereo).

If you like the music of Dead Can Dance you should check out this album too. Peter Ulrich is the former drummer/percusionist of this band and his personal music on his second album Enter the Mysterium is much in the same vain: a mixture of mystical sounds and lyrics, medieval, celtic and world music influences in a bed of pop. Only the european version of this album is in the sacd format (stereo and 5.1)
