Performance:  Sonics:
I generally love Alia Vox's production, but I have problems with Montserrat Figueras'voice. So this one is obviously not for me. This record has received awards in France, but I find it boring unless you are a scholar studying this particular music.
I have to admit the sonics have prevented me from listening to this album repeatedly, so don't take my word on that. What I can say for sure is that the recording retains the coldness and the glare of the original PCM recordings, with an added sense of space and air due to the DSD transfer. Is it better than the CD? Yes. Is it a good SACD? No.
