| I actually bought this to have the two tracks from THE THORN BIRDS ,so i was not disappointed.However,instead of having THE PINK PANTHER THEME and the PETER GUNN THEME, which are on all previous MANCINI bests of,it would have been nice to have the ARABESQUE and TOUCH OF EVIL themes which belongs to the ultimate collection.It is hard to judge this record,especially if you are a die hard fan like me.Like MORRICONE and BARRY,HENRY MANCINI is a legend who i think deserves a 2cd set only for his instrumentals works alone.The best MANCINI sampler on a single disc for me are ALL TIME GREATEST HITS VOLUME 1 ,which includes 3 titles not compose by him and THE MUSIC OF HENRY MANCINI, which includes wonderful renditions of his songs from ANDY WILLIAMS,JOHNNY MATHIS and PATTI PAGE.Look out for those two.

Judging from the reviews, it looks like the only good thing about the Steve Martin Pink Panther remake is the music. It reminds the public again of what a wonderful composer Henry Mancini was. More proof is this CD.
I agree mainly with the reviewers Connie and Julian Blackwood who say it is a wonderful CD that perhaps has too much of his lovely daughter's singing in the latter part of it. But the bulk of the tracks are wonderful with Moonriver and Dreamsville my favorites.
