This a great SACD to get if you are into early prog-rock from the 1970s'. Britain's Nektar always seemed to be just under the Pink Floyd radar earning them respect from early Floyd fans. Their catalogue is getting fine treatment from the UK based lable Dream Nebula. The SACD MultiChannel layer is awesome and I can't wait for the next Multi-Channel re-issue from Dream Nebula, Nektar's "Down To Earth". BTW - The multi-channel mix of Nektar's debut "Journey To The Centre Of The Eye" is also very good.

Nektar's Remember The Future is a classic progressive rock album featuring 2 long epic side long parts. The music is rich and highly textured with great vocals and harmonies along the way. I have RTF on vinyl, on RBCD from belaphon and on Remastered CD as well and now the Eclectic SACD version which is the only one to house the original quad mix.

The 2004 surround mix and 2 channel play back are both stunning and are IMHO the best mixes of this album I have ever heard. The drums and guitar work is incredibly clear and precise and fans of this album will need to find a copy of the 70's treasure.

Listening to this SACD is like I am hearing this album again for the first time.........

The SACD is a bit hard to find these days without taking out a second mortgage but if you can luck in and find it used like i did at a local shop then pick it up.......you wont be sorry.....

NEKTAR is the only Psychodelic Prog Rock Band I know (there was many), and they are very good musicians and composers. My favourite Album is A TAB IN THE OCEAN not released in SACD yet (a shame).
They came in my city after 2000 and was only 27 tickets sold for the show (canceled). Sorry Nektar ! The music of this SACD is a journey in to space, this album is a classic of Prog Rock music.
The Stereo sound is very good for a Rock band, better than the vynil if I remenber well, cause there is no hiss, pops, clicks, wow, flutter and wear. A clear better recording than the Tange/Rubycon, that was recorded by Virgin Records. Nektar is ahead of all Prog Rock bands in releasing this 3 SACDs, the almighty Pink Floyd has solely one. Thankyou Nektar Staff.
All my three SACDs of Nektar do not have the EOF mark on the end of the Stereo mix and made a loud PUUTZ on the speakers (nobody listen this kind of music in low SPL). The MultiC mix is redundant.
