Performance:  Sonics:
L. Almeida g, C. Byrd g, J. Byrd b, C. Redd ds, Concord 1985.
The quartet plays eleven tracks of pure tango. No surprise on a disc called Tango. The performance is perfect, but is it jazz? I`d say no. But it`s a welcome alternation and some tracks are fun. May be, you are a tango dancer, then this one`s perfect.
Concord has recorded the quartet in a very natural sound and the Groove Note reissue is very good.
