I received the SACD immediatly after release and now, after a couple of weeks, it's one of the most played recordings I own. The material has been restored very tasteful although you'll find a lot of quotes by Bach, Vivaldi and Rameau. The sound is perfectly captured in both Stereo and Surround, the harpsichord fits nicely into the rest of the orchestre and is reproduced in its original size and volume. Audited on Arcam/Kef, see my profile.
Highly recommended for every baroque fan.

Strangely I still don't know much about about Scarlatti, and I wish I did because I'd like to know where to find more music like this! Gentle but upbeat strings with the tinkle tinkle of harpsicord reminds you it is a lovely spring sunday afternoon.

Its been years now since I bought this recording, and guess what, I got home today and sought it out amongst the others again. It is a 88/24 recording, so the sound quality is nice. I'm very curious to hear the surround sound on this.

Daniel.
