Performance:  Sonics (S/MC): /
These Chamber orchestra works of Stravinsky get exemplary performances from Paavo Jarvi and his Orchestra.
All members of the Deutsche KammerPhilarmonie Bremen are virtuoso players. ANd their playing trascends the group, giving detailed individual performances, with many very rich and rewarding performance details. Jarvi leads his forces with finesse, which is essential in the Stravinsky music of this compositional period.

As all Pentatone releases I have heard so far, the sound is very natural and balanced, with outstanding multichanel details.
Great disc.

Performance:  Sonics (MC):
At first I really dug the multichannel mix and its aural effects, but after repeated listenings I realized I was solely mesmerised by hearing one of my favorite Stravinsky pieces in surround sound. There was somehing missing...the previous reviewer has put it quite bluntly. This performance is lifeless, stifled and safe.
