Sonics:
I will comment only on the sound quality of the Beethoven. It is the best digital sound I have ever heard (I listened only to the stereo layer, not having a surround system). There is a debate whether SACD producers should use Meitner or dCS equipment. Pentatone uses dCS. Just close your eyes and listen. The sound is lush and musical, absolutely convincing. After the Pentatone I listened to Kleiber on DGG. For whatever reason DGG interposes PCM between the music source and the final SACD. The Kleiber was so ho-hum, so lacking in aural excitement I just turned it off and went to bed. I doubt I will ever listen to it again.
