Reviews:

Magnificent! (review from amazon.co.uk)
It comes to show how great he was in his prime.
He could take any material and make it his own.
This album is a very good effort from Billy Hollidays music.

Wonderful - get the 'best of' too though (review from amazon.co.uk)
This is a really lovely album that showcases Sam Cooke's immense skill as a vocalist. The material was all chosen as a tribute to Billie Holiday, and the arrangements follow that laid back jazz flavour. Sam Cooke is probably the only singer in history who could sing all that Billie Holiday material and yet go some way towards making it his own. The character he injects into the melody of 'Blue Moon' - a song that we all think we know - will take your breath away.
Get the 'best of' (or whatever it's called) as well as this, and you'll have many happy hours listening.
