If you are a fan of early Joel and would like to get a more complete discography of his best work I recommend this disc to you. While I cant say that every track is a winner here the sound quality is very, very good. There are a few instrumentals to choose from and truth be told a few lower quality songs as well. Ultimately it all works out perfectly in the end.

The first track Street life Serenader is one of my favorite Joel songs. As it unfolded upon my first listen I was convinced rather quickly that this sacd has excellent sound. Played loudly there isn't much to fault with the overall sound quality. There is a nice sense of natural studio reverb, vocals are outstanding and a nice sense of spatial layering is ever present. The sound is clean and full. With this sacd its rather easy to hear whay Joel and band were after. It has that real life studio feel in the transfer.

Highly recommended. My actual score is 4 and a quarter stars.
A very good job Mr. Gray
