Thanks for all the hard work....this is truly a reference site. I looked up my first review - 27 January 2003. A that time we were looking at when the amount of reviews was going to overtake the amount of titles listed on the site. No such worries anymore :-) I also recall being the most active reviewer, for a little while at least , well, no such worries anymore either !! :-). SA-CD - yes, you taught us to not write SACD anymore - survived as a very nice niche medium. It's impossible to quantify but sa-cd.net has played a major part in this story, in fact it's an integral part of the story.

Stephen, I'd firstly like to thank you for having the foresight to set up this website/forum and then to have the tenacity to continue with it for a decade, through some awkward times. I woukd also like to take this opportunity of wishing John the very best in continuing with the good work.

How is the relationship with Pacwin? So vital he stays on board. His One Bit Audio site is always way ahead of the game; we need his full input here rather than there?

Pacwin's site is where I first learned of the Blomstedt/Bruckner complete recordings box. My sense is that when this site decided to do away with up to date updates of current and future releases is when he went away. His site is now the most frequently visited for news of new and future releases.

Best wishes, Zeus! Hope you and all sa-cd.netters in Australia stay safe in the coming days. Sending you some of our Northern California cold, wet weather -- at least in spirit.

Thanks, we can do with it. Evacuated (voluntarily) yesterday and couldn't make it back until this morning. Three roads out of town are currently closed due to fires. All in all a typical January!

Zeus,

I have been wondering if the fires were affecting you, but was afraid to ask in case it was like asking an acquaintance in New York if he was affected by the Alaska quake. Did you take your speakers and Marantz with you when you evacked? I doubtless have your envy here, x-country skiing on a meter of snow. I noticed a jet flying south and wondered surrealistically to Julie, if it might be flying a load of white stuff to Down Under....

--However! I started posting here to thank you for "My Work index": it's a great measure of duplicates, triplicates etc. I just noticed the index; how long have I been blind to its existence?

There were fires in the area (closest was 5km yesterday). I got out of town last Tuesday (the worst day for heat and wind) but other than closing roads there's been little impact/property damage locally. This thanks totally to more accurate forecasting and our Rural Fire Service volunteers who get on top of any outbreaks and work through the night if required. There have been some horrific fires (just recently down in Tasmania) and their occurrence is a part of life here in Summer. Thanks for your concern.

Thanks so much Stephen for maintaining this incredible site!
In my opinion, it has been the major force in keeping SA-CD alive. By providing accurate, current information, with correct links to otherwise difficult to find discs, it has made it a pleasure to be an SA-CD enthusiast. Cudos!
