this performance of the 3rd is more energetic and alert than the one on the disc.
For the 2nd, this slightly mannered account won't erase memories of more driven ones by Bernstein and Blomstedt(Decca).

I hope this means we'll be seeing the Phil on SACD for some time... brilliant! BPO on EMI now this, oh! boy!

Well, BPO on EMI Japan v. expensive stereo-only imports. A start, I suppose but a long way to go IMO!

I completely agree it's great news about the NYPO joining the BFO, RNO, RCO, LSO et al on SACD.

Sorry, don't know what that gobble-de-gook means...

meant to say

"wonderful" kiss, kiss, kiss!

great news robert, can't have enough Nielsen cycles. When are you planning recording and release?

The new BIS cycle would have to be very, very good indeed to get me to replace the BIS Nielsen recordings by Chung et al. BIS 321, with a brilliant performance of the Clarinet Cto., is one of my all-time favorite recordings (of c. 2000).
