Thanks everyone. I even e-mailed Amazon, but the responder merely read back what is on their listing. It's evident that the listing is wrong. I'll return the disc.
I initiated a return, and amazingly, Amazon told me to keep the item, but they'll still refund me! It makes sense, because they'll spend a lot more to ship one item back and process it.
Ultimately, I'd rather have the SACD, so I'll search out a used copy.
Thanks again, Doug

I guess they don't want to have to find a shelf for it to sit on!
In this sense, ie very simple returns policy, Amazon really are great. I'm still waiting for this opinion to change, as it has for ebay, but every time I have to deal with them, they've been first rate.

Yes - I agree with you with regard to Amazon. They are in my opinion, really great with things like that. Looking around, it is possible to find people moaning about Amazon on various sites, but their experiences definately do not match mine.
Just like with the OP, I was also told by Amazon UK that I could keep an ordered disc that I reported as faulty - and received a full refund also.

Sorry to revive my old thread, but I finally started listening to the CD-R recently, and have to agree that it's a sublime and sensitive performance. I love it.
It sounds pretty good for a CD-R, so I'll keep my eye out for a used copy of the original SACD.
BTW, I noticed errors in the booklet for the CD-R. Where tracks 2 and 3 are the Sonata in G, D. 157, the booklet lists them as the Sonata in E, D. 894, which is actually on tracks 4-7! Very sloppy for Amazon, but I'm glad it was free for me.

The audiophile merchants have the SACD in stock at reasonable prices still...
