No disrespect Jared but is there any sort of market for this or is it an 'Editor's choice' type of obsession?
I admire your courage in launching a left-field disc like this?
?

I am on the market for this type of music also. So that is +1, but I know from my social environment that there is a growing interest for Nordic composers and the Nordic musical tradition. Years ago I had never thought that Kreek, Rautavaraa and Tormis would become famous composers, not to mention Schnittke who also taps on the Nordic heritage. SACD is an ideal archiving medium isn't it ?

Have to laugh actually. In the past this site has often stated that I was not adventurous enough with programming and that enough SACD's had been recorded from the 'known' repertoire. So here I am presenting a great choir and conductor with very accessible Scandinavian music. (composers who have taken traditional folk tunes to a new dimension!)
I know that I enjoy working with these musicians and there are many buyers (and not only other choirs) around the world that have enjoyed the other two releases from this combination. There might be some of you out there that will take the plunge to learn more about this music and especially with one of the worlds great choirs hear sound colors never thought possible.

Of course, Jared. I really enjoy this kind of program. Thanks for the project.

Trombone soloists, Bass Viol soloists, Bolivian Baroque, and Trumpeter Wim Van Easselt's Keroac Salute, "On The Road"--- Talk about adventuresome! Even the Poulenc album with The Swedish Radio Choir---not exactly mainstream. I never know what to expect from CC!

Quite bored of the "well trod path".

This disc aside, a not insignificant proportion of our discs from the classical left-field that pleased for a while partly due to their novelty but mostly not having lasting appeal, have ended up in a storage shelf cul-de-sac. It has been a salutary warning to us not to expect too much from repertory that has been largely ignored by history.
