No. The site receives no benefit from links on this forum as they're not tagged.

A solution would be if you could educate forum posters to modify vendor links such that they include the tag, like http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gibbons-Motets-Anthems-Fantasias-Voluntaries/dp/B007X98RJM/?tag=sacdinfocom-20
I'm sure though that's beyond most people. A little better would be some kind of macro that lets them do it but I'm also skeptical about that.

Frankly, the only thing I think will work (even better than forbidding the posting of links) is automating it altogether, letting software modify people's posts to get the tagging right. I know some forums on the web that do exactly that.

While I appreciate what you're trying to do, the fact that your link is invalid (it uses the wrong tag) confirms the folly of getting posters here to do this.

From my point of view getting the label to provide the data so everything is in place in advance of release is the ideal solution, but I can't force them to do so. I would have thought it was in their interest, but what do I know.

Ouch. I realized this was tricky but I didn't expect to prove my own point. But I see I overlooked it was a UK link and of course the tag is different.

So it should be http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007X98RJM/?tag=sacdinfocom08-21
or http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007X98RJM/?tag=sacdinfocom-20 , right?

Either way, automating this should help avoid a lot of frustation but I can imagine you don't feel like spending the effort.

A suggestion for an easier alternative: automate the disallowing of posting (vendor) links.
