'Sittin' In' Loggins and Messina from Audio Fidelity

'Colors of the Day' Judy Collins Audio Fidelity

AmazonUS shows a release date of December 11th for both releases.

Whether they'll be QUAD or stereo (since both WERE released in SQ and CD~4 vinyl, respectively) will be anyone's guess.

Also announced from Audio Fidelity for December 13th: Nat King Cole 'Christmas Song' (SACD)

Nice additions and hopefully they'll be quad.

AmazonUS has a December 11th release date for Alice Cooper's "Muscle of Love" (SACD) from Audio Fidelity.

No further info at this time. Muscle of Love did have a CD~4, Q8 and QR release but like Billion Dollar Babies which was also released by Warners as a 5.1 DVD~A and by Audio Fidelity as a Stereo SACD, I assume it will only be a Stereo SACD.

I see that the Kings College new release of Gabrieli is available as sacd and Blu-ray Audio with Dolby Atmos. (Not listed yet on our sister site.). It claims this is the first classical Dolby Atmos release. Someone there believes in surround sound!

Update on AF's upcoming releases of Judy Collins "Colors of the Day" and Alice Cooper's "Muscle of Love." As indicated on the AmazonUS website they are INDEED BOTH 4.0.

Also announced for a November 17th release from Audio Fidelity as hybrid Stereo SACDs: The Original Motion Picture Soundtracks of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Cruising (the William Friedkin movie with Al Pacino)

No word on whether Loggins & Messina "Sittin' In" is 4.0

For a November 13th Release: Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song (also hybrid Stereo SACD)

I guess rammiepie is the fountain of knowledge on these matters so is there anything on SACD from Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas.

They were a huge band in the shadow of the Beatles in the mid-60's in fact they used toplay at The Cavern and tour with them, notably for the famous Hamburg gigs and during the Fab Four's first US tour.

BJK now lives New York City. The Dakotas reformed a few years ago and toured mainly around the UK and Europe but the line up had changed by then and time had left them behind.

Their early Chart toppers were all penned by John & Paul and inevitably became massive hits both sides of the pond.

Their old LP's still sound spine tingling fresh and would transfer well in DSD.

Checking the HRAudio database, hiredfox, there is NO evidence of an SACD by this supergroup whom I, personally, have NEVER heard of.

Not to say they weren't (aren't) great.

Come to think of it. None of the Beatles' APPLE Label 'stars' (or for that matter, the Beatles themselves) have produced ANY SACDs. Was always hoping that the haunting, lilting Mary Hopkins "Postcard" would make an SACD appearance......or BADFINGER, for that matter.....but to NO avail. Perhaps Universal (who now owns the label) will see fit to rectify this oversight!
