The Challenge website describes this as a 2-CD set, not 2-SACD (a distinction they do always make), and I can't find a retailer who describes this as a SACD set either plus no SACD logo on the front bottom right corner. Is this listing an error or does an owner on this site know differently?

The graphics front and back look pretty convincing. Check the graphic on the publisher website http://www.challengerecords.com/product/1279030376 SACD logo in upper right corner.

Naxos Distribution has it as an SACD:

But otherwise I have no idea. These are old recordings they may well be DSD recordings now reissued on CD but someone recycled old artwork? On the other hand these are Stereo SACD only.

Here's a dutch reviewer specifically mentioning the "SACD remastering" in the review text:

"The recordings date from some time ago, in 1998 and 1999, made in Remonstrant Baptist Church in Deventer (CD 1) and the Mennonite Church in Haarlem (CD 2), for which producer Ted Diehl and engineer Bert van der Wolf (who also editing accounted for) signed. The SACD remastering is only recently done so, why. "

Another confirmation of the SACD format:

"This is a fine brace of re-releases packaged in an attractive SACD hybrid single-thickness double jewel case. The SACD layer is a recent re-mastering, but doesn’t add a huge amount to already more than decent stereo recordings."
