Pentaman;

Have the good folks at PentaTone and Martin Helmchen considered how welcome a Helmchen recording of Mozart's Piano concertos #14 and #17 (or 18) would be?

I mentioned this seeing on the titles page a new Exton "direct cut" recording of numbers 17 and 20. I have the previously released Exton version and seriously doubt any benefit from "direct cut", but BOY would I like to see Helmchen do this with number 14 instead of 20 - although a later disc with #20 would of course be as just as welcome.

I really love Mozart piano concertos! I was REALLY impressed with Helmchen's first Mozart disc. Looking forward to his Schubert, but please don't forget to continue with more of his Mozart!

Bruce

BTW I didn't ask for #14 because it is numerically logical to Helmchen's first Mozart disc. I ask because I love the last movement! As to #17, that is also a favorite of mine and I suspect, on evidence from Helmchen's previous recording that he would do it VERY well!

Oh YES !!

My love for classical music has began with Mozart concertos.

It really miss a modern multichannel MOZART's great piano concertos and Helmchen-Nikolic "are born for this" !
Please Pentatone do it ;-)

Isn't any of the Haitink/LPO recordings quad? His Liszt, his excellent Sheherazade, Stravinsky...?

Hello all

A question for Pentaman :

Did the Beethoven sonatas by Mari Kodama will be all done in Doopsgezinde Kerk in Haarlem ?
I found the sound and acoustic fantastic in her three first releases, surely the best piano recordings we can found on the market (CD or SACD) !!
(I'm a little bit deceived by the mate acoustic of the last Schubert-Helmchen)

Go on this great job - Domimag

Nice new recordings, and what I was hoping for: some BA Haydn trios! Wonderful.

You said it. How about more Davis Sibelius instead?
