This site has over a hundred SACD's CHEAP! Including Telarc, some Pentatones, and others.

put SACD in the search keyword. If you, like me, are willing to buy RBCD's as well, the selection is amazing. It all depends on what they get at any given time.

I've bought from them 4 times and been quite pleased.

Berkshire Record Outlet is a great source to cheap SACDs, just beware many are cut-outs and have either saw marks though the case on the spine or punch-out/drill holes through the UPC code.

She's right, and changing the jewel box still leaves the inner artwork sliced or drilled. It's worth it to me. Especially since they may not be available elsewhere.

Just received my order yesterday from Berkshire: 5 sealed Quadro Pentatones (in SACD cases with NO slices through the cases) and one Naive title. They also carry (in SACD) Praga, Membran a few RCA Red Seals and a few Hyperions. Shipping [within the US] is relatively cheap. Happy shopping!

"Many" = sometimes but not always. I'd say well more than half of those I've ordered are unmarked.

What does it matter unless you're going to get rid of them or resell them for a quick buck?

Exactly---- And althought I've traded back at least half of the SACD's I've purchased due to less than wonderful performances, these prices are so good, I'll take my chances.

And again... for those of you who are willing to buy the right RBCD's, they have a zillion of 'em at great prices.

Speaking of trading things in, I was at Classical Millenium tonight and bought a used disc that I found out later I had bought before. That is truly a first--I have never done that before and I have over 3500 discs.

Wow.....

Not only have I dont that, but I've done it at the same store--- the last of the great classical stores that I know of on the west coast.

Sometimes I wonder what they would be like if they had twice the space, and then sometimes I realize it's the lack of space that makes it so much concentrated fun! But yes--- There was this used copy of Mahler Two by Klemperer...

Great to share the memory. I first started shopping there about 25 years ago. I was trading my cassette tapes over on Hawthorne, then heading to CM. Michael Parsons and later Mike Haggedorn made it a marvelous place.

Oh--- by the way, for the rest of you, we're talking about Portland, OR.

I don't get there much anymore--- it is 50 miles, and there's so much on the web. I feel guilty about it though....

Bill,

That's why I only said Classical Millenium. I knew you knew what place I was talking about. I was a regular patron for years before moving to Japan for 12 years. Now I'm back in the area, work here during the week, and go every now and then to go first to the used discs. It's gotten too hard to navigate their new stuff, to tell you the truth. It's so jam packed with cds and SACDs, and just a bit dark, to be able to find stuff.
