Polly Nomial's review may inadvertently lead people to think that The King's Consort is not now performing under that name - it most certainly is!

You can view The King's Consort's continuing activity on its website at www.tkcworld.org

There you can read of forthcoming concerts in prestigious venues including the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Lucerne Easter Festival, Madrid Auditorio Nacional, Cuenca Easter Festival, Wigmore Hall and more besides.

Well, according to http://www.retrospectensemble.com/index.html, they have changed their name. Perhaps King himself retains the rights to the name TKC etc.?

In any case, it may be that some former TKC players do not wish to be associated with King following his court case a couple of years ago and this is why they parted company.

Do the facts really support such speculation? The King's Consort is performing with the same household names with whom it has long been associated (soloists including Carolyn Sampson, Robin Blaze, Charles Daniels, Hilary Summers, Tuva Semmingsen, Diana Moore, Jan Kobow, Joshua Ellicott, Ben Davies, David Wilson-Johnson amongst others) in world-class venues (Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Madrid Auditorio Nacional, Wigmore Hall, Lucerne Easter Festival and more), managed by the same team of European managers as before, which maybe suggests that such speculation is not really a runner?
