Amazon Canada shows this SACD will be released June 2nd and available for pre-order: http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0001BS3WK/?tag=sacdinfocom09-20
Is this a SACD re-issue?
It must be--I bought a copy a few months ago. I like it a lot. The sound is very raw and natural, and they play magnificently. In one respect it is better than Made in Japan: Ritchie Blackmore's guitar is panned to the correct side of the stage, right! It's on the left in MiJ. BTW, I paid $19 for it brand new!

I followed the link to amazon and although the reviews are about the SACD the actual header makes no mention of SACD. If this an actual Rock SACD that has been reissued as a SACD and not been remastered down to RBCD I will be very surprised it will be a very rare item indeed. Bear in mind that all Amazon site have a nasty habit of not updating thier information quickly or being accurate in the first place

I picked up the Canadien Amazon link from SA-CD.net Deep Purple: Live on the BBC The only listing with a shopping cart is from Canada's Amazon.
Curiously the label's website http://www.AudioFidelity.net does list the SACD as orderable in its catalog.

Hey, thanks Fugue. They shipped one to me today.
You're welcome. Play it loud when it arrives! :-)
I remember when my local rock station broadcast a recording of the concert when I was in high school. I held a microphone up to my transistor radio to record it! The SACD sounds infinitely better... :-)
