Discussion: Rossini: Famous Overtures

Below is a response to sgb's review from Job Maarse at PentaTone Music:

In the review of our SACD Rossini overtures (PentaTone Classics PTC 5186
106) you regret that we left out the other Rossini overtures, also recorded
by Philips in the 70s.

We could not agree more but unfortunately only the overtures we released
were recorded in 4-channel quadro, the others that you remember from the
lp's were only recorded in stereo.

Since we release only surround sound recordings, we could not use the
others.

With kind regards,

Job Maarse
