Hello, I researched this a few weeks backs and thought this described as an SACD STEREO ONLY disc, with the 5.0 mix contained in a DVD. If you are purchasing this for the surround mix, the UK Import DVD is probabbly in PAL FORMAT. Buyers beware! Have a good one! Thank You.

I still have no information regarding this title (and Brain Salad Surgery) other than what you can read around the web, but this appears to be a 2 x CD + SA-CD package with multichannel content on the SA-CD.

Well, Brain Salad Surgery SACD, from the same lable in the same Deluxe Edition serie, is in now in my posession... Hopefully Paranoid will materialize as well... And why not? With a very limited (let's admit) audience issuing the classics (read: guaranteed sales) makes all the sense... There are more potential candidates , including the original quadro recordings... Who's in to make a quick buck?

You know I have thought about starting a re-issue company to release two SACD products:

1) license QUADRAPHONIC recordings from the 1970's to release as 4.0 Multi-Channel SACDs

2) "ULTRA LONG PLAYING TIME 4 HOURS +" 2 channel Stereo SACDs as first utilized by BIS. My idea is to release all the great analog recordings of the past including those from the famous budget labels of Vox and Vanguard. Can you imagine complete Vox Boxes on a single SACD? Complete Operas and Ballets on a single SACD? Complete Symphonies of many composers on a single SACD or at most 2 or 3?

I think both of these types of SACDs would sell well, now all I need is the financing.

DSD,

I wish I had the financing for your product.... I can't believe there are so many quadro recordings out there and only a few of them have been reissued on SACD. Yes, maybe they are recorded with an imperfect, obsolete technology but a few quadro-to-SACD releases that I have sound unbelievably well and have a special status in my collection. Mark Anderson created a list of original quadro recordings: http://members.cox.net/surround/quaddisc/quadindx.htm It's an interesting read....
Good luck with your project...
