Hallo all

I don't know if there was another thread on this subject;

I see that "Das lied von der Erde" by MTT is planned for the first public retail in september 2008. A very good new !

Is there a good feeling about it ?

is anybody knows the planning for the rest of the cycle :
Symphony No 8 and others lieders (Wunderhorn etc...)

According to my sources, Mahler's 8th is rescheduled for the 2008-2009 season (still not sure which part)...the idea is to re-record #8 for SACD.....If the performance is in the first part of the season (2008) then we will likely see the SACD sometime in the 2nd quarter of 2008....if the performance is in 2009, then we not see #8 until Christmas or later....

Still no word on any of the other song cycles....

Of courser, I sincerely hope that when MTT/SFO is done with the Mahler that they do not stop recordings!!!
