Anti-Jitter devices:

Can anyone think of an anti-jitter or other "outboard " device to insert in between the Sony 9100ES and the preamp to improve sound quality?

John

John,
There are no anti-jitter devises to go between player and preamp, although there is something like the burson buffer, but that's not an anti-jitter devise.
To correct jitter that comes when disc is read, the only way is with a precision clock and low noise power supply. The only other way to correct this type of jitter is with a PLL type circuit that is found in a few expensive cd players, but not sure if even any super expensive sacd players use this. PLL is certainly not in any sub $5k sacd player.
What you may have been thinking about in your post were the little jitter correction boxes that were popular in the mid 90's that went between cd transport and separate dac. There are no separate dacs for sacd.
